Podiatrist & Co-Owner


Laura is the Co-owner and Director of The Foot Studio.

Laura’s passion is to provide high-quality Podiatry services to all walks of life.

She is an enthusiastic, optimistic and positive person. She is a very skilled, attentive and empathetic Podiatrist.

Laura has been working as a Podiatrist for 8 years and has been involved in the Allied Health industry for over 13 years. Laura has a broad range of experience.

She has now moved into a mentoring role at The Foot Studio and is seeing New patients, complex cases and second opinions. She is also spending her time mentoring her staff and teaching the next generation of Podiatrists. She enjoys being involved with Charles Sturt University through online lecturing, tutorials and placements of students. Laura has had valuable Podiatry experience working within a Paediatric Health Care orphanage in Vietnam.

Laura loves treating complex cases and draws on her fantastic network of health professionals for second opinions, advice and contributions for her management plans. She also enjoys helping a range of people recover and manage foot, ankle and knee injuries from paediatric patients, everyday people through to elite sportspeople.

Laura has been the driver of developing Gold Standard treatment protocols and systems at The Foot Studio. “One of the things I say to my staff if they are stuck on what treatment and management plan to write for their patients is; what would you do for your own Mum? – then that’s your answer. All of our patients are treated like friends and family and we only offer the highest level of treatment. ”

In Laura’s spare time she enjoys a morning beach walk with her husband Courtney and golden retriever dog Tilly. Laura loves kiteboarding, learning to surf, scuba diving and fishing. Her most recent achievement was catching a Marlin in Exmouth.




Steph graduated from La Trobe University (Bendigo, Victoria) in 2017 with a Masters of Podiatric Practice and a Bachelor degree in Health Science. Steph has recently moved from Central Victoria to Perth to further her career in Podiatry and enjoy the beautiful West Coast lifestyle.

Steph has broad and well-rounded experience working in the public health sector and brings her problem solving skills and genuine nature to The Foot Studio. Steph is thrilled to be available to treat all of your Podiatric needs. With a passion for providing high quality treatment tailored to each individual, she strives to give you the care you need.

Steph has a kind and genuine nature, making her a personable and caring Podiatrist.  She is known for taking her time and ensuring your needs are met during your Podiatry consultation.

Steph has a keen interest in treating those who suffer from diabetic foot complications, wounds, injuries and general foot pain or concerns. Steph also loves seeing kids and is always progressing her paediatric knowledge. Steph prides herself on providing extremely thorough care with a big smile, “I love empowering people to take pride in their foot health and therefore giving them the ability to participate in the activities that matter to them”.

In her spare time Steph loves cooking and eating nutritious food, getting amongst the outdoors – running, hiking, netball and tennis are some of her favourites. Steph also has a new found love for the beach since moving to Perth!

Gemma is a very patient focused, compassionate and people orientated Podiatrist. Gemma is now available for consultation at our rooms in York and Claremont. ⁠

Gemma completed a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine at the University of Western Australia in 2010 and has a wealth of experience and knowledge to share. ⁠

Gemma has worked both in Western Australia and throughout New Zealand. She feels very fortunate that throughout her career she has been exposed to a great deal of diversity and varied work environments enabling her to build a broad skill set. From rural and remote areas of Western Australia, including beautiful and isolated Aboriginal Communities, to both the North and South islands of NZ. ⁠

The wide range of patients and conditions, both geographically and in terms of their backgrounds, she has learnt to tailor and adapt her approach to each individual. Gemma has a passion to educate and enable patients to take responsibility for their role in their own Podiatric health. She thoroughly enjoys working with people from all walks of life! ⁠

Growing up on a farm in Beverley, Western Australia, Gemma has developed an honest, genuine and community minded approach to life and her career. She loves learning about all things health and mindset related.⁠

In her spare time Gemma enjoys being on the farm, bushwalking and her favourite thing to do it sing! She has represented New Zealand twice internationally with the Christchurch City Chorus at the Sweet Adelines singing contest placing 5th and 7th in the world. She is looking forward to getting some chooks and setting up her garden now she is back home in Beverley.



Practice Manager & Co-Owner


Courtney Kelly is the amazing Practice Manager and director at @thefootstudio. He has many talents and is a jack of all trades. He studied marine biology and zoology at UWA. He then moved on to a career in the commercial maritime industry which took him up and down the coast of WA and as far as Tasmania. He loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking, nature and photography. Something you might not know about him is that he is a true green thumb and is the reason for so many flourishing plants @thefootstudio He also has an unconditional love for the ocean and enjoys diving, boating and fishing.  He is best known for his genuine customer service and amazing cups of tea. Courtney has brought many new recycling and environmental procedures into The Foot Studio including growing mushrooms and composting from recycled shredded office paper  Feel free to ask Courtney any of your gardening questions at your next Podiatry appointment.

Steph is an enthusiastic, creative and fun loving person. She is currently studying a double major of Japanese and Photography at Murdoch University and hopes to capture memories as well as explore different facets of photography in the future.

Steph is a big supporter of the Perth Wildcats Basketball Team she watches all the games, and in her spare loves going to live music concerts, spending time with friends and her fur babies.

Steph has worked as a medical receptionist for Podiatry for over five years and has first hand knowledge of the different processes, particularly with orthotics and footwear fitting. Steph has extensive knowledge of supportive shoe brands and styles and she prides herself on being able to inform, educate and fit patients with the right shoes to suit their lifestyle and feet.

Steph has a welcoming smile and fantastic positive energy. She is looking forward to meeting you and helping you get back on the right foot!

Rachael Mitchell

Rachael is a dedicated and enthusiastic person. She has completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Western Australia and is progressing towards a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 2021.
Rachael is a huge fan of social netball, painting, going to the beach, her cat named Princess and tv shows.
Rachael has worked as a real estate agent’s receptionist, leasing agent, frozen yogurt sales assistant, and many other interesting occupations.
Rachael loves to travel, recently spending five months on exchange in Southampton, England. She was able to feed reindeer in Scotland, ski in Austria, eat pizza in Italy and much more! She is a qualified scuba diver and loves new adventures.
Rachael is new to the podiatry world and is incredibly excited to know the tricks of the trade. She prides herself on her efficiency, organisation and her strive to achieve above and beyond customer service.
She is excited to meet you, and help you with all your questions!

Ann-Marie Ryan

Ann-Marie has a passion for helping people and loves being part of The Foot Studio Team. She has worked in many jobs from Retail to Accounting, enjoying all aspects before travelling Europe & most parts of Australia.  She loves to get away in the caravan exploring our beautiful WA and is very connected to the Pilbara & Kimberley regions. She also loves to sew especially for her impending 1st Grandchild due in January 2021, creating beautiful quilts and baby items.  She loves her hikes and runs trails in and around Perth & South West WA; on Thursday nights you will find AM (Ann-Marie) leading the hike group for The Manning Park Trail Runners in Spearwood.  She has recently completed a team relay as part of the Margaret River Ultra Marathon.  She is a lover of nature, the ocean and the beautiful Milky Way and loves learning astro photography. Ann-Marie is available to help with all of your Podiatry and footwear questions.
