LAURA KELLY

Podiatrist & Co-Owner

Laura is one of our Podiatrists and Co-owners of The Foot Studio. Laura graduated from Charles Sturt University in Albury NSW with a Bachelor of Podiatry.

Laura has a true passion and love for all aspects of Podiatry providing high-quality Podiatry services to all walks of life. She has a passion not only for helping her patients but training and mentoring her Podiatry staff and colleagues. Laura’s role is a combination of treating patients face-to-face and mentoring/training staff as well as creating gold standard systems and procedures for The Foot Studio.

Laura has been working as a Podiatrist for almost 10 years now and has been involved in the Allied Health industry for over 13 years.

Laura’s Podiatry skills and training include:

  • dry needling
  • mobilisation therapy
  • high Power Laser/photobiomodulation therapy
  • shockwave therapy
  • biomechanics, sports injuries and orthotics
  • injection therapy – using local anaesthetics for ingrown toenail surgeries, Falknors wart procedures, pain relief of musculoskeletal conditions including Morton’s neuromas, nerve adhesions, nerve entrapments and chronic pain.
  • assessment and management of patients with disabilities
  • skin and nail care
  • fungal nail and skin treatment plans
  • paediatrics
  • hypermobility

Laura has also been involved with Charles Sturt University and the University of Western Australia through online lecturing, tutorials and placements of students. Laura has had valuable Podiatry experience working within a Paediatric Health Care orphanage in Vietnam working with kids with disabilities in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Laura has a special interest in treating patients with disabilities, paediatric patients and injection therapies. Laura is a Mum of one beautiful little girl. In Laura’s spare time she enjoys a morning beach walk with her husband and two golden retriever dogs. Laura loves water sports including kiteboarding, SUPing learning to surf, free diving and fishing. Her most recent achievement was catching a Marlin in Exmouth.

STEPHANEE HOLT

Podiatrist

Steph grew up on a farm in country Victoria and graduated from La Trobe University (Bendigo, Victoria) in 2017 with a Masters of Podiatric Practice and a Bachelor degree in Health Science.

Steph has broad and well-rounded experience working in both the public health sector and privately at The Foot Studio. With a passion for providing high quality treatment tailored to each individual, she strives to give you the care you need.  Steph is known for her attention to detail and taking her time ensuring your needs are met during your Podiatry consultation, “I love being able to paint a picture and help my patients understand the ‘why’, linking all aspects of the lower limb”.
Although enjoying all aspects of podiatry, Steph has a keen interest in sports podiatry and varying musculoskeletal conditions that affect all ages. Steph is very passionate about looking at the broader aspects affecting a condition and using combination therapy to get the best results. To complement this, Steph has completed further study in Foot Mobilisation & manipulation, dry needling and injection therapy.

In her spare time Steph loves cooking and eating nutritious food, getting amongst the outdoors – camping/4WD, hiking, running, SUPing and spending time at the beach. Steph is looking forward to meeting you and your family, to help you put your best foot forward. James Devlin

Podiatrist

James Devlin - Perth Podiatrist, The Foot Studio

James graduated from Charles Sturt University in Albury, New South Wales, with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine. Throughout his career, he has amassed a diverse range of experiences, working in private practice, mobile podiatry, and as a clinical specialist for orthopedic devices in surgery.

From an early age, James developed a deep fascination with sports and injury. Years of personal experience with various injuries provided him with valuable insights into the significance of preparation and rehabilitation. This firsthand understanding ignited his passion for a career in health, specifically in the field of podiatry.

James is well-versed in all aspects of podiatry and finds fulfillment in a wide range of areas. He excels in pain and injury management, leveraging his extensive expertise to provide effective solutions for his patients. His keen interest in gait and running assessment allows him to evaluate and optimize the biomechanics of his patients, helping them achieve their performance goals. Furthermore, James possesses a comprehensive understanding of footwear, orthotics, nail surgery, and general podiatry, enabling him to deliver exceptional care across the board.

Beyond his professional commitments, James maintains an active lifestyle, aligning with his passion for health and well-being. Whether he’s engaging in various physical activities or strumming his guitar, he embodies the importance of leading an active and balanced life. Additionally, he revels in exploring ideal camping spots, relishing weekends away in nature.

Samantha Tapper

Podiatrist

Samantha completed a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at The University of Western Australia, after completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Physiology. Samantha was born and raised in New Zealand before moving to the Pilbara with her family in 2012.

Having a diverse background influenced Samantha to attend Podiatry placements in the Goldfields and Kimberley; This exposed her to a diverse range of conditions and clinical scenarios and has been key in the development of her problem solving and versatility when it comes to treatment plans.

Samantha’s experience working with children as a tutor and nanny sparked her interest in assessing and managing Paediatric conditions. Samantha has a passion for providing a high standard of care and educating patients to ensure they have full autonomy over their foot health. Samantha is invested in continually learning and advancing her skills and knowledge in podiatry.

In her spare time Samantha loves travelling WA, spending time in nature, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Samantha loves to dance having completed advanced grades of the RAD ballet syllabus and placing in Aerobics and dance competitions. These days you may catch her having a boogie in the studio corridor. Samantha can’t wait to meet you and assist in your journey to happier healthier feet.

Eleanor Robinson

Podiatrist

Eleanor completed her Bachelor of Podiatry at Southern Cross University in the Gold Coast, Queensland, equipping her with a solid foundation in the field. Furthermore, she pursued a Bachelor of Pedorthics (Medical Footwear Manufacturing) degree at the same university, enhancing her expertise in creating specialized footwear for medical purposes.

Originally from the enchanting North Yorkshire Moors, Eleanor embarked on a new chapter when her family relocated to Australia in 2007. She spent a significant portion of her life in the Scenic Rim area of regional Queensland before making her way to Perth.

Eleanor’s diverse experiences and multicultural exposure have shaped her approach to patient care. She combines her background with her skill set to develop personalized treatment plans that center around the individual needs of each patient. With a genuine passion for podiatry, Eleanor excels in various areas, including general treatment, musculoskeletal conditions, and nail surgeries. Her profound understanding of the impact of footwear on foot health makes her a valuable resource for discussing the latest developments in the field.

Continued learning and professional growth are vital to Eleanor’s practice. She remains committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in podiatry and consistently strives to acquire new skills that benefit her patients. By doing so, she ensures that her patients receive the highest standard of care and access to cutting-edge treatment options.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Eleanor revels in exploring her new home in Western Australia. She finds solace in nature, and you may catch her enjoying a peaceful moment with a cup of tea. As a passionate hobby baker and dressmaker, Eleanor loves to experiment with her culinary skills and sewing machine, always seeking to learn new techniques and expand her creative repertoire.

COURTNEY KELLY

Practice Manager & Co-Owner

Courtney Kelly is the amazing Practice Manager and director at @thefootstudio. He has many talents and is a jack of all trades. He studied marine biology and zoology at UWA. He then moved on to a career in the commercial maritime industry which took him up and down the coast of WA and as far as Tasmania. He loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking, nature and photography. Something you might not know about him is that he is a true green thumb and is the reason for so many flourishing plants @thefootstudio He also has an unconditional love for the ocean and enjoys diving, boating and fishing.  He is best known for his genuine customer service and amazing cups of tea. Courtney has brought many new recycling and environmental procedures into The Foot Studio including growing mushrooms and composting from recycled shredded office paper  Feel free to ask Courtney any of your gardening questions at your next Podiatry appointment.

Jesara Sabin

Jesara is a bubbly, creative and confident individual. She recently moved to Perth from New Zealand to enjoy the amazing Western Australian quality of life.

Jesara has moved here with wide eyes and can’t wait to explore new places and hobbies like diving, surfing, painting and pottery.

Before joining our team Jesara managed a few retail branches back in New Zealand; the front-facing, service-orientated aspect of these roles shines through at The Foot Studio. Jesara also has experience working in retirement homes and childcare, flourishing in roles that make a difference. Jesara and her partner Andrew both come from large families and she prides herself on being family orientated.

Lucy Highet

Claremont Podiatrist

Lucy is an enthusiastic, dedicated and confident person. She loves working in the medical field and is currently completing a Bachelor in Biomedical Sciences, with a double major in Physiology and Neuroscience at the University of Western Australia. Lucy enjoys working in dynamic and fast-paced environment and prides herself on her ability to be empathetic and to go above and beyond for each individual.

Lucy is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service with a goal to make every individual’s experience a memorable one.

Lucy grew up in Western Australia and has also spent some time in the Northern Territory. She enjoys traveling and loves new experiences that require her to challenge herself. Lucy is excited to be a part of The Foot Studio team and is looking forward to meeting you.

Matilda Dyke

Matilda is a dedicated and passionate individual, with a love of helping people from all walks of life. She recently completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Western Australia, majoring in Sport Science and Exercise and Health.

 

Originally from the small country town of Narrogin, Matilda loves a chat and will endeavor to foster a meaningful relationship which each and every client. Matilda is a lover of sport, representing her state in AFL and currently playing for Claremont Tigers in the West Australian Football League Womens. Any free moment Matilda has, she will be found at the beach.
